Alright, this time we will pick a vintage dress and turn into a retro dress. What is the difference between vintage and retro? Well, vintage is an item that is at least around 20 years old but retro does not have to be that old, it may as well be made now but in a vintage style. So, retro is an item in which you re-create a vintage style.

Like, let us say you have a dress that is two or three years old, you take it, up-cycle it and give a new life, within the style of 30 years back; that item is a retro item. Or, you can upcycle a high fashion stuff into a style of at least twenty, thirty years back, that’s still retro. Still another way is that; you completely create something new in the fashion of old times, and that item is a retro item.

Why am I talking about all that? Well, firstly it was something I was also wondering about. I mean the difference between retro and vintage. And then, this post is about an item which was already vintage, and up-cycled and turned into another vintage fashion dress.
