Ten more days and it’s another Halloween. Sounds exciting, doesn’t it? Many of you, I am sure, have already decided what costume to wear for the Halloween party or on the threshold of deciding. Many of you could use some help, too, I guess, huh! I mean, about deciding what costume to wear. Well, how about an Edwardian era dress ? Why not?

You are viewing my upcycled 1920s Gatsby or Edwardian are inspired dress! Made of 100% soft cotton fabric, this dress originally was from 1980s era. With puffy sleeves and low waist area, it was white with some little flowers prints. I hand dyed this dress in darker mauve brown color , you still can see the darker prints of the flower pattern , which is quite nice The front shear collar makes a gorgeous statement ,the edges of the collar came out darker and I added a beautiful moss green vintage lace for additional color theme ( I love dark mauve and green colors together ) . I finished the sleeves opening with the same lace after removing the puffy sleeves . I made a generous lace bow to tight up on the side from the same vintage lace , and made a statement flower pin from light had-dyed in mauve tulle to pull the look together. The dress has a zipper on the side and marked size 12 , but please double check your measurement ! Thanks and convo me in case of any questions !
