Alright, I also hope that I will make things a little more special for some of you out there; with my unique creations, or the tips that I give you for your own sewing projects, tutorials.

Gatsby lace drop waist dress

Take a look at a fabulous Gatsby design dress that I upcycled from another vintage, made in USA, 1980s dress. What originally got my attention is that this dress had a drop waist and is all lace, beaded with beautiful sequins all over the top of the lace cover .The length is perfect too. I love that it’s uneven bottom of the full lace skirt .

The dress was hot pink color to begin with puffy crazy sleeves. So ,I removed the sleeves and toned the down the crazy hot pink color of the dress by hand dying it in darker antique mauve color . I finished the edges with remnants of lace of the sleeves ,and made a cotton blend lace sash that comes with the dress. Also my handmade brooch as in the pictures; it comes with the dress, too. The dress marked size 14 , and has a zipper on the back . But please double check your measurements below.
