DIY women’s plus size sweater tunic and hat project upcycle
Hi everyone! I hope life is treating you all well. If not, that means life is teaching you a lesson, which is eventually a well-treatment, too. Well, sure, easier said than done, many of you will say. I know, I know… Anyways, today I will be sharing two things again. A women’s hat and a plus size women’s sweater tunic.
This is a plus size up-cycled sweater – tunic
It is made with very soft chunky brown cotton. I removed most of the front since it was damaged and made this dark blue pleated front from the stretchy soft wool blend knitted jersey . Before I sewed the front on I finished the front edges by knitting – Looks and feels nice and comfortable .
The sleeves are slightly flared on the bottom and they are not too long . ,looks very nice if they are rolled up .
Size is from Large to 2X
Convo me in case of any questions pls
Bust (armpit to armpit): 22 to 29 inches
Waist (laying flat): 23 to 28 inches
Length (from shoulders to hem): 28 inches
Sleeve length (from armpit to cuff): 14 inches (3/4 sleeve)
You are viewing my up-cycled hat that I created from vintage felt (100% Wool) men’s hat that’s made in USA . The color of the hat is light moss green , so I cut off the edges and made them shorter . For more brighter design I used very pretty cotton and rayon blend lavender and blue mix color up-cycled fabric . I finished the edges and made a ribbon around the hat with the same fabric . the colors look very beautiful together ( darker lavender and green are one of my favorite combos ) I also made this very pretty light lavender and purple colors beads brooch too that is permanently attached to the side .
Measurements : 21 inches inner circumference
