I realized, I never worked on projects for children, kids or teenagers before. There is no particular reason, actually. And I work spontaneously at most, as well as being the same way spontaneous while picking my material for my next upcycling project. Well, here is a dress for kids or teenagers; no, here is a The Great Gatsby dress for them :)

1920s Great Gatsby dress for kids girls teenagers, upcycling old dresses

This is a children’s Gatsby design dress, that I up cycled from older design dress. Originally this dress was grayish white color , with big puffy sleeves and very crazy busy front design. I removed all of the extras from the front removed the crazy puffy sleeves to achieve the Gatsby look, finished the sleeves openings with pink cotton ribbon. I hand dyed this dress in mauve color , added pretty pink lace around the neck opening and matching sash at the lower waist area. GATSBY dresses were mostly designed with free upper area and lower waist , which caught my attention in this dress. There are a cute buttons closure on the back , the dress is fully lined and have this very puffy skirt too. I created antique look from the ordinary dress for your little one to have fun at your special Gatsby event ! Perfect for flower girl ! I made a little flower pin that comes with a dress – it can be used for girls head band as well as can be pined anywhere on this pretty vintage unique design girls dress.
